About Tia

Moorside Farm, Halifax, West Yorkshire

Moorside Farm is the largest rescue/home finding sanctuary in Yorkshire offering a home to up to 100 greyhounds at any one time.

No greyhound is put to sleep once it has reached Tia, unless he/she is ill and suffering.

Half of the dogs are brought in by their caring owners/trainers. The other half are strays.

We are not anti-racing. Just against the way the industry disregards the greyhounds welfare.

We receive no money from the racing industry but rely soley on the general publics generosity.

We have six charity shops and fundraise almost every weekend to care for the dogs in our care.

We have huge public support and a small army of volunteers who make Tia the success that it is.

To allow us to care for large number of dogs in our care we are only open to visitors from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 9.00 and 1.00

Our exact location is not published  due to the risk of our dogs being stolen and then abused.
